Welcome to McDowell Cycling.  We are a social bike group based in Scottsdale, AZ.  Our rides leave almost every Saturday and Sunday from the Bashas in McDowell Mountain Ranch.  Feel free to join us.

3 things to think about or at least start thinking about. 

    One (1), John Dean knows of a 2008 58cm Trek Madone for sale.  Contact John Dean if you are interested. 

    Two (2), Nathan's (not the hot dogs) Triathlon is September 21, 2008.  We are going to try to get a few teams together.  One team is going for time, the others will just go for fun.  Email me if you are at all interested and we will see how many teams we can get.  We have one team locked in with Greg Roberts (swim, bike & run), Scott Sahlman (SAG support) & Antonio Fungairino (cheerleading).  Team 2 is looking like Me(bike), Stephen Plunkett (swim) and hopefully Jeff Girardin (run). 

    Three (3), for the Tour De Scottsdale, if you register by August 1st it is $85.  After that, it goes up to $100.  I just registered, and we can't sign-up as a team, just as individuals.  It would be fun to ride it as a group and share the pull to see what time we can get.  We'll probably spend some time before the race, practicing our paceline rotations. 

The morning rides on Tuesday and Thursday are going strong.  Let's keep them rolling through the summer.  Just meet at 6am at the Corner of Bell & Thompson Peak Parkway for a 20 mile ride.  We get back by 7:15, so hopefully you won't be too late for work.
